[Daniel] Movie Mini Review - Into The Wild

We saw the movie "Into The Wild" for the first time last night. I can't help but recommend it very highly to everyone who will listen. Based on a true story, the plot plays out well, the cinematography is gorgeous and I'm geniuinely envious of the locations the actors got to shoot in. While I don't agree with the main characters means, I definitely emphasize with the urge to simplify and get back to nature.

There's also an excellent selection of classic literature sprinkled throughout the movie and I was surprised by the soundtrack, which was largely originals by Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam fame. The crew also did an excellent job simulating the right time period.

At two and a half hours long, you'll want to make sure you're comfy and ready for a movie that feels more indie than most, but is still very accessible. Definitely not for little ones, given some partial nudity, language and a particular scene shot in the Alaskan wilderness. Overall, it was very well worth either the rental or purchase in my opinion.
