[Daniel] Too Warm Laptop
Dear Steve Jobs,I love your laptops. That said, it's not a laptop if it's too damn warm to keep on my lap for more than 20 minutes. I finish each and every night with two giant sweat marks on the thighs of my shorts and a giant red mark on my left leg from 2 hours of use. From typing and surfing. In a text editor (called TextMate). I fear how much hotter a MacBook Pro would be over my MacBook. Let's look into cooling solutions. Kthxbye!

Just think of all the other applications it will have this Winter tho: bed warmer, leg warmer, hot plate -- you're only limited by your imagination :D

smcFanControl is a good app for safely telling your fan to run more (within the min/max parameters set by Apple).

Luke for the win. smcFanControl (found off MacUpdate instead of the above link) is working great.
Too bad it isn't built into OS X. It's badly needed.
