[Moriah] 38 Weeks...And Counting
So I'm coming up on Week 38 tomorrow. Hard to believe I'm this far along already, even though it feels like I've been pregnant forever. I've really been trying to enjoy my time being pregnant, just in case this is the only child we decide to have. However, about three days ago I really started feeling crummy again.Up until then, I had still been walking every night with Daniel and Bear, pet sitting for my regular customer, going out shopping like usual and doing chores around the house with no problems. But a few days ago I sort of hit a point where things started to get pretty difficult. I've been having some awfully strong Braxton Hicks contractions lately that have been lasting 6-8 minutes at a time. From time to time I feel like I have the flu and then it goes away. For example, I woke up at 4:30 this morning feeling very sick to my stomach, sweating and feeling like my body was 150 degrees. But when I got up later, I felt better. My appetite is decreasing while my pickiness for certain foods is increasing. It's getting harder to move around, go up and down stairs, get in and out of the car, turn over in bed, get up off the couch, etc. I'm not pet sitting anymore at this point. My doctor has also given the veto to my walking every night because of the unusually long contractions I've been having. And my abdomen is really starting to ache, especially if Baby's positioned funny.
All in all, I've been having a great pregnancy since about 20 weeks, but I think I'm ready for him to be born. I'm looking forward to meeting the little guy that's been kicking me from the inside. And I can't wait for Daddy to meet him and hold him for the first time!
We'll keep everyone up to date and announce when Baby Lindsley is born. Until then, I'll be sitting here resting. :)
