[Moriah] First Steps!

Number Two decided today he was going to venture out on his own. Mini Me, he and I were out in the backyard playing and I was walking around with him holding my hand. Suddenly, he let go and took 5-6 big steps, all by himself! I was totally shocked and so very proud! I immediately scooped him up and exclaimed to the neighborhood (whoever might be outside listening) that Number Two took his first steps! :) It was a very happy moment. He also took more steps throughout the day while we were playing inside. We caught some on video and posted it online. Congratulations, Number Two! You did it!

[Moriah] Another Milestone Passed

Today felt a little bittersweet. Number Two had his very last bottle of formula tonight before bed. Starting tomorrow, he will be completely off formula and bottles and onto bigger and better things: all solid foods, sippy cups, rice and soy milk instead of formula, etc. It was a very proud day as, by the end of his first year we have a very healthy, happy little boy. It was also sad to know that this is our last little baby and he isn't completely a baby anymore. He's moving up in the world, nearly walking, saying his first words, watching big brother to see the way things should (and shouldn't) be done. I almost cried as I washed that last bottle, knowing that was it. Well, that was it until the boys have kids of their own. But I don't want to think about that yet. They're still my babies, no matter how old they are, and they have a lot of growing to do yet. So while I felt some sadness, I'm also very excited to see how the next chapter in Number Two's life will turn out. Congratulations on moving onward and upward, little guy! We love you!
