[Daniel] New Recipe Database Online!
I've completed Moriah's new recipe database and placed it up online. There's a new look, a couple new features and always great food to be made. The new application is written in Rails and is replacing what was my very first PHP application, written as a birthday gift to Moriah over 3 years ago. It was definitely showing its age (and the fact that I was learning) so it was due.
I've got some fun little ideas for it in the future (REST, RSS, Email Recipe functionality). Let us know what you think!
[Moriah] What A Weekend!
I just wanted to post a quick update about our fabulous weekend. My mom and dad, and Jaimie came down to visit our new house and celebrate my dad's birthday. We had an awesome time! We took everyone downtown to the flagship Whole Foods Market for an early dinner on Saturday. That way, everybody got to pick their own food choices from the many buffets and specialty stations.Baby Lindsley had a wonderful time with all the company, as can be seen in the "Head Banging" video. At the end of the video, you can clearly hear him say "mama." Oh, what a precious sound to my ears! :D He was delighted to have so much attention from so many people. The weather was beautiful, which really lent to a fun weekend. We didn't have time to go swimming this time around, but we'll surely go next time. And we had a blast playing Wii Bowling together after Baby went to sleep for the night. That's such a fun game to play with people of any age! Nintendo rules.
Anyway, enjoy the video of Baby Lindsley head banging! It was quite hilarious. 'Twas a wonderful, memorable weekend. Thanks, Mom, Dad and Jaimie!

Last night, Moriah rolled a 300 in Wii Bowling. It was the first 300 she's ever had, real-life or virtual! I'm so jealous/proud! :D

Daniel wonders...
To the unwashed, cowboy PHP drone, the testing facilities in Rails are really impressive. Especially the QA mini-DSL concept present in "Agile Web Development with Rails 2nd Ed.".
