[Moriah] Birthday And Stuff

Wow, one whole month between blogs. Can't tell I've been busy with other stuff can you? I've been reading up on all my pet sitting stuff, making delicious dinners for my lovely hubby, spoiling Bear with walks and petting every day, and much more.



Aww, thanks honey for the birthday message! Yes, 'tis true; I am getting even older tomorrow. But that's ok. I'm excited to celebrate with Daniel, my mom and my aunt. I love having visitors!!! :) I'm going to make a special dinner Saturday night: fettucini from scratch with a red wine tomato-basil marinara, and chocolate chip banana cake for dessert. Mmmmmm! And it's all vegan, so meh! Hee hee.



I have another pet sitting assignment for the cats I sat for last month. Hopefully I'll get some more business in the coming month, too. Also, I am starting an exercise plan for myself, since I'm getting fat just sitting here reading all day. I'm going to exercise at least 30 minutes every day, with few exclusions allowed, and if I miss a day for any reason that doesn't fit within the exclusions I will publicly admit it here on the site for my own embarrassment. Sounds harsh, but I need something to motivate myself! Anyway, I'm going to get ready to enjoy my birthday now. Later!

[Daniel] PyWeek Competition

After a long silence, I'm going to attempt the PyWeek Game Programming Competition. The gist of it is that you have one week to create a video game using Python and PyGame. You have the option to enter either as an individual or a team. Call me crazy, but I'm going solo, simply because I don't know who I'd work with anyhow. The competition runs from August 28 and runs through September 4. No prizes are involved, just bragging rights and a challenge.



Video games have always been a passion for me and I've always wished that I could work on video games professionally. There's a lot of neat challenges and problems to work on within game development. Plus, creating a fun finished product would be pretty rewarding. So I'm going to give it a shot. I highly doubt I'll win or even place well but it's for fun and that's what I'm going to have. Fun. :D



Outside of that, work is going alright. Not everything I ever dreamed but it pays the bills and it's kinda nice not

to be simply scraping by for once.
