[Moriah] New Look & Moving!
Look at our cool new page! I'm excited about it. I think it looks a lot nicer than our old version. We've been very busy preparing for the move. Our apartment looks like a pig sty with all the boxes and miscellaneous things laying around waiting to be packed. Oh well. I can't wait to get to Austin. Only 9 more days!!! This is going to rule!

[Daniel] Site Update
Complete! I believe all of the pages should now reflect the new look. Please dump your cache/history (or just Shift + Refresh). If you encounter any that have the old style or look wrong, please let us know and I will fix it a.s.a.p.Hope everyone likes the new look as much as we do! More things are on their way soon but they will have to wait for the completion of the move.
[Daniel] Testing 1, 2, 3...
Some other pages might be a little wonky while we update. Please be patient.

[Daniel] Graduation Pictures
We have graduation pictures up for all to view and be in awe of. WONDER AT IT, UNSHAVEN MASSES, STAND AND WONDER!!!In other, less maniacal news, our graduation counter has been replaced with a moving counter. Only 14 days until we move to our new home. Everything but a job for me is falling into place so we're pretty excited, especially Moriah.
Finally, my birthday yesterday was good. Uneventful but good, given the craziness of this past weekend.

[Daniel] Congratuations, Moriah
Now it's my turn to congratulate you, dear! Three years of very hard work culminated in Moriah's graduation today - 4.0 GPA which I think is very impressive and commendable. Personally, I think she's just getting warmed up.:)
We have a lot to do these next couple weeks, finishing work and getting the final preparations set to go. Happiest item for me: BROADBAND! 3.0 Mb DSL will be waiting for us by June 7th. No more dialup! HOORAY!

[Moriah] Daniel's Graduated & I'm Next!
Congratulations, honey! Today our two families and I had the pleasure of watching my honey graduate from UW-Oshkosh. We are all very proud of him for his accomplishments over the past five years. I'm sure he will continue to succeed in the future with his variety of skills and personable nature. Great job!!!Tomorrow, it's my turn...

[Moriah] Graduation Weekend
Wow, Daniel is finished with his Bachelor's Degree, except for the graduation part, and I am nearly done at FVTC. I have three days of class left and graduation on Sunday. After college, what will we do with ourselves? It's a weird feeling to think of not having classes anymore. But hey, I'm not going to complain. I have plenty to keep myself busy with: the pet sitting accreditation course, getting FKPS off the ground, learning Spanish, training and walking our dogs (when we can afford to get them), swimming in the apartment pool and sunbathing in the warm Texas sun. Sounds good to me. This is going to be great! Goodbye Wisconsin (though we'll see you again when we visit family)! Time to move on to bigger and better things.[Daniel] Final Assignment Of College
That's it. I have completed the final assignment of my college career, at least at UW-Oshkosh. My last final was today, my last assignment turned in a short hour ago and no classes tomorrow. It's a crazy feeling. Now comes the wait for the grades.Another perk is getting to see the whole family. We've got most of the family from both sides attending both graduations and dinner planned for the best restaurant in Oshkosh. I'm excited and I guarantee there will be pictures soon to follow. :D
I wish I could say I felt really free. I have a sense of it but now my job situation and the move are foremost in my mind. I still have not really had any kind of luck, which is very frustrating. I wish I knew what to do differently or how to make myself more attractive to employers.
Anyway, we've got some changes in mind for Snow-Wolf. Hopefully, I will get quite a bit of it done tomorrow and unveil it shortly thereafter.

[Moriah] Very, Very Busy!
First of all, Happy Cinco de Mayo to all who celebrate! Wow, obviously I've been busy if you couldn't tell from the major lack of updating recently. I've been busy with class work, work at The Free Market, worrying about graduation and what's going to happen when we leave here and trying to prepare for Texas. We finally found an apartment that will hopefully accept our poor selves and are getting antsy about the job situation. Hopefully some luck will come our way soon. We'll see. Until then, we're going to keep plugging away until things work out. Oh, and for anyone interested, I have updated my FKPS web site if you want to take a look.[Daniel] Mac OS X: Tiger!
Apple released the newest version of their OS, Mac OS X "Tiger" last Friday. A short delay later (no thanks to FedEx) and I was happily installing Monday. Unlike the previous episode, I did sufficient backups beforehand and saved effort by simply upgrading rather than starting afresh.Tiger is impressive. Apple is heavily marketing Spotlight (think fast & reliable search for everything on your computer) and Dashboard (yay for widgets). Strangely, while these features are nice, they aren't really anything new to me. Konfabulator and QuickSilver did largely the same things. Granted, there are differences but I use them about the same way.
What impresses me most are huge strides in terms of speed (much more responsive, especially when copying files), printing enhancements and the included Dictionary functionality. No longer do I have to start up a web browser and wait. Oxford American Dictionary is right there and a convenient Dashboard widget makes it even more so.
Other cool items include Quartz Composer, which lets you program advanced graphics with a relatively easy drag-&-drop interface, updated Mail (so very much more stable and better looking) and the addition of slideshow view, which lets you convert a series of photos immediately into a slideshow with zero effort.
It's neat to see these kinds of enhancements and where Mac OS X is heading. They've added a lot of subtle features to it and it really makes the whole thing more complete and appealing. The wait for 10.5 begins...
And yes, I should be studying. But with one week left, my concern is about totally spent.
