...watching in amazement as your child uses his imagination for the first time.

For the very first time that I've seen, our 15-month-old used his imagination to play make-believe, rather than simply playing with the physical aspects of his toys. He was holding a red cup from his stacking cup set when he reached into the cup, pinched his thumb and index finger together as though grabbing something, brought his hand to his mouth and pretended to eat some make-believe food out of the cup. He was quite amused with himself and chuckled adorably as he pretended to eat over and over out of the cup. When I saw him and started laughing at how cute it was, he shocked me again by walking over, dipping his hand in the cup and trying to "feed" ME whatever it was he was imagining! Every time he discovers something new, I am completely amazed and it just melts my heart.

[Moriah] Happy 1st Birthday!!!

"Happy Birthday to You!" I can't believe our little boy is already a year old. It didn't fully sink in until last night that he was actually turning the big 1 today. It's amazing, looking back, how much he's grown, developed and turned into the smart, adorable little guy we know today. Mama and Dada wish you a very happy first birthday, sweetie! We love you so much!!!

[Moriah] What A Weekend!

I just wanted to post a quick update about our fabulous weekend. My mom and dad, and Jaimie came down to visit our new house and celebrate my dad's birthday. We had an awesome time! We took everyone downtown to the flagship Whole Foods Market for an early dinner on Saturday. That way, everybody got to pick their own food choices from the many buffets and specialty stations.

Baby Lindsley had a wonderful time with all the company, as can be seen in the "Head Banging" video. At the end of the video, you can clearly hear him say "mama." Oh, what a precious sound to my ears! :D He was delighted to have so much attention from so many people. The weather was beautiful, which really lent to a fun weekend. We didn't have time to go swimming this time around, but we'll surely go next time. And we had a blast playing Wii Bowling together after Baby went to sleep for the night. That's such a fun game to play with people of any age! Nintendo rules.
